Coinciding with the International Anti-corruption Day on 9th December, Gelephu Thromde also observed Anti-corruption Day to enhance integrity consciousness and curb corrupt practices at all times during service delivery.

"Corruption rank in Bhutan decreased to 24 out of more than 180 countries in the world. There should not be corrupt practices in the services we provide and in any developmental activities. Corruption compromises quality of roads, drains and blacktopping or any other activities that would ultimately affect our Government and people." - Dasho Thrompon said in his keynote address.

Dasho also thanked all the staff and principals of schools for being able to observe the day together.

On the day, the Planning Officer and Administrative Officer as focal persons sensitized the participants on various anti-corruption tools such as Ethics and Integrity, Assets Declaration System, Declaration and Management of Conflict of Interest, Gift Declaration and Administration and other anti-corruption tools.
